Leading internet service provider (ISP), World Link has raised foreign investment of Rs 135 crores from UK based development finance company called CDC. CDC is to buy 10 percent equity of the World Link.
CDC Group, owned by the British Government, has been investing in various sectors of the world for a long time. However, it is the very first investment to be done in Nepal by this group.
An investment agreement has been already signed between the two parties on Thursday. The deal will help expand the company’s services in more areas and improve quality, said Dilip Agarwal, managing director of the World Link.
