Tiktok CEO Kevin Mayer Resigns Over US Pressure

TikTok CEO Kevin Mayer has resigned just after 100 days of joining the company.

Kevin Meyer, CEO of short video app TikTok, has resigned. TikTok’s CEO resigned on Thursday amid a recent controversy over TikTok in the United States.

After the Indian government banned TikTok on security risks ground, The United States has also said it will ban its use in the United States, summoning “national security risks and threats.”

Mayer who was chosen as CEO on last May resigns writing a letter to his staff saying that the political atmosphere had changed significantly over the US and other countries. Kevin Mayer is also a former executive of the American company Disney. That is why the US has put pressure on him not to have relations with the Chinese company.
