TIA Lacks Sufficient Electricity Power, CAAN Urges To Not Use A.C And Heater

Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) and Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) on Friday released an notice for different offices and sections to minimize the use of electricity in airport premises.

The demand for electricity at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) has increased due to cold weather. It has a direct impact on the equipment used in the operation of the airport, including communication, navigation and surveillance. So to reduce this impact CAAN and TIA has urged everyone in the office to not use Air Conditioners and heaters.

The notice was issued to the security checks within the airport, the immigration office, the customs office, the airline company offices, cafe and others.
