Amid the global coronavirus pandemic, the tri-series between Scotland, Namibia and Nepal, part of Cricket World Cup League 2, has been postponed until further notice.
Cricket Scotland, in a statement, confirmed that six matches against Namibia and Nepal due to be held between 4th July and 11 July has been called off following the announcement made by International Cricket Council.
“With ongoing international travel restrictions and global health concerns still in place and on government and public health authority advice in relation to COVID-19, we have decided in partnership with Members to postpone two further qualifying series which form part of the pathway to the Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2023.” ICC Head of Events Chris Tetley said as stated by Cricket Scotland.
“We will now work with hosts and Members to find a window where they can be safely and practically rescheduled.” Tetley added further in his statement.
Nepal currently stand at 6th place in the Cricket World Cup League 2 table.
