My Favourite ODI XI

I’m not a 90’s kid and for sure I haven’t watched many cricketers of that generation. Sachin Tendulkar, Shane Warne, Brian Lara, and many others were the heart of cricket at that time. They were, are and will be respected forever in cricket history. Since I haven’t watched them playing on the ground, so it won’t be good to put them on my squad as per their fame and glamour.

Therefore, you won’t get to see those players of the ’90s, but instead, you will see the players ruling in this generation. So let’s take a glance at my Favourite ODI XI.

For the openers, I have picked up some good openers like Rohit Sharma, Quinton De Kock, David Warner,  And Hashim Amla whom I admire watching a lot.

Among them, Rohit Sharma and Quinton De Kock will be opening for my team. Rohit Sharma is famous for his fearless batting and ability to withstand through out the match. Similarly, Quinton De Kock will be playing on the other side. Quinton is currently leading South Africa and holds a huge reputation in International cricket. So we will get to see a great partnerships between them.

For middle orders, currently, there is a huge number of players who are doing great for years. Jos Buttler, Virat Kohli, Kane Williamson, Babar Azam, Faf du Plessis, AB de Villiers, and MS Dhoni are some sound names we have been hearing up. And I’m having little trouble selecting only a few names from the huge pile.

For now, Jos Buttler, Marnus Labuschagne, Kane Williamson, and Ms. Dhoni will be playing for my team in middle order simultaneously.

Jos Buttler, Kane Williamson, And Ms. Dhoni are renowned for their skills, techniques, and records in international cricket. Marnus Labuschagne hadn’t played many ODI matches like others.  But I have hope that he will perform well since he is one of the greatest emerging batsmen in test cricket.

MS Dhoni is going to be wicket keeper and captain of my ODI XI.

Shakib Al Hasan, Ben Stokes, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, and Glenn Maxwell are some of the all-rounders whom I love watching. So Shakib Al Hasan and Ben Stokes will be playing on my team as all-rounders.

Shakib Al Hasan and Ben stokes were just sensational in world cup 2019. They have the ability to play match-winning innings and at the same time, we can rely on them in the worse situations too. They are good at both batting and bowling, so they can be a really good asset for the team.

I’m going with three full-time bowlers and they are Imran Tahir, Jasprit Bumrah, and Pat Cummins. Jasprit Bumrah and Pat Cummins are just awesome and doing great every time they come into the ground.  And they have the ability to bowl on every situation and can get the wickets for the team.

Imran Tahir, a right arm googly specialist, is one of the best spinners from South Africa. He was the first South African bowler to take seven wickets in an ODI. He reached 100 ODI wickets in just 58 matches, the quickest such feat for South African bowlers.
