Mahakali River’s Main Tributary Disappears from Google Maps’ Map and Terrain View

The new issued map from Nepal was dully rejected by India.. Amid all the issue, the main tributary of the Mahakali(Sarada) river gets disappeared from the google maps.

Nepal and India have had Kalapani-Lipuelkh issue for a long time. Nepal opposed the road India made through the Lipulekh to Kailash Mansarovar. Nepal even published a new map including the region of Limpiyadhura, Lipulekh and Kalapani.

The new issued map from Nepal was dully rejected by India. Nepal government failed to amend the constitution and effectively have the ‘new map’ as the official map of Nepal.

Amid all the issue, the main tributary of the Mahakali (Sarada) river gets disappeared from the google maps.

It is to be seen if India is behind the removal of main tributary from Google maps.

The satellite view shows that the Mahakali river has two tributaries and the one coming from Limpiyadhura is larger and has higher water density. However, it is odd that google maps seem to not include the main tributary in the terrain and map view.
