    The claim is fake. The photo uploaded by Comrade Prachanda's verified Facebook account on 29th December 2020 has been manipulated to add Indian national flag.

    Amidst of a demonstration and rally performed by the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Madhav Kumar Nepal today, 28th Magh 2077, a photo has gone viral on social media, especially Facebook. The viral photo shows top leaders including Madhav Nepal and Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ on the front line and an Indian national flag in the middle of the rally.

    This photo became viral on social media right after a news portal called, Janata Times published an article claiming that Prachanda-Madhav led demonstration used an Indian flag. The very news and photo used by the news portal have been shared by many people on Facebook.

    What’s the truth?

    The very image has been uploaded to ‘Comrade Prachanda’s’ official verified Facebook account on 29th December 2020. When we did a reverse image search on google we were redirected to the Prachanda’s verified Facebook page.
