Eco-Cargo Bike “Habre” Made In Nepal Needs To Be Popular

Eco-Bike made in Nepal using local bamboo needs to be popular.

An eco-friendly cargo based machine built by a collaboration of an American professor cum industrial designer with the help of locals of Kathmandu and some students from Kathmandu University could be a beginning to the eco-friendly vehicles in Nepal.

Professor Lance Rake of Kansas University came up with an idea of making an eco-cargo machine with bamboo as its body to help locals move around the city carbon emission-free. Professor Rake and Nripal Adhikari from Nepal, with joint effort made this project.

This Eco-Cargo bike named after Nepali name of Panda, Habre, uses most of it’s part made up of bamboo hence cut big expense. Debuted this year, Habre can be used as a cargo vehicle to transfer goods and packages, help roam tourists around the city and many more.
