Binod, became a heavy trend on the Indian social media community. It spread like wildfire. Soon, the Binod trend was adopted by Nepali netizens.
Nepali netizens shortly realized that instead of some nonsense trend like Binod, they should advocate the brutal yet unsolved rape and murder case of Nirmala Panta, a 13-year-old girl from Bhimdatta Municipality-2, Kanchanpur who was raped and murdered in a sugarcane field near her residence on 27 July 2018.
Following and supporting the trend cum cause netizens have started commenting and posting hashtag #JusticeForNirmala everywhere on social media.
#JusticeForNirmala comment counts more than 60K on the profile picture of Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Oli.
Earlier supporting the cause, a secret Facebook group Men’s Room Reloaded (MRR) had posted tons of pamphlets on electric poles and walls around the country.
